Chase Sapphire Reserve and Ikon Pass has a 20% discount right now if you haven’t bought your season ski pass for the 2024-2025 season! Not going to lie though, I’m pretty annoyed by this. I bought my pass at full price back in the beginning of October because Ikon was advertising that prices were going up so I decided to pull the plug.
I’m doubled annoyed because I was waiting forever for a deal like the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Ikon Pass had last September to pop up and it never did, and now this happens. Well, the good news is that there might be some hope for some of us that have bought our pass within the last 30 days. Continue reading for more details on how down below!
What is the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Ikon Pass Deal?
You can earn 20% cash back on your Ikon Pass purchase when you spend $299 or more, including taxes and after any discounts. So, that’s pretty much like ALL of their passes and there’s no cap on how much you can save. This is an even better deal than the one they had last year since last year, the deal was only on the full Ikon Pass. This year’s deal includes the Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, or Ikon Session Pass that are $299 or more.
How To Get The Chase Sapphire Reserve and Ikon Pass Deal
It looks like only the Chase Sapphire Reserve has the Ikon Pass 20% deal currently. I checked my Chase Freedom Unlimited, Chase Freedom Flex, Chase Ink Unlimited, and Chase Ink Preferred and didn’t see it on there.
To find the offer, you’ll have to sign in online or on the Chase mobile app and scroll down to the “Chase Offers” section. Click “See all available deals” and it just scroll until you find the Ikon Pass deal. Otherwise, it can be located under the “Entertainment” tab as well. Then, all you have to do is add the offer to your account. Make sure to add the offer. If you don’t add it, it won’t count!
What Are The Terms of the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Ikon Pass Discount?
Offer expires 12/12/2024. Offer valid one time only. Offer only valid on purchases made directly with the merchant. Offer valid online only. Cash back offer good on purchases of an Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, or Ikon Session Pass. Offer not valid on purchases made using third-party services, delivery services, or a third-party payment account (e.g., buy now pay later). Payment must be made on or before 12/12/2024.
How Many Ikon Passes Can I Buy?
The terms don’t specifically say that there’s a limit to how many Ikon Passes you can buy. The only caveat is that it is valid one time only so if you buy multiple passes at once, you should be able to utilize the discount for that entire purchase since there’s no cap on how much you can save.
When Did This Deal Appear?
I only found this deal by accident while scrolling on my Chase app yesterday (November 3, 2024), but other people seemed have mentioned that they’ve seen it since November 1st. This seems to be a very late deal since Chase Sapphire Reserve and Ikon Pass had a similar deal back in September of 2023.
What If I Already Bought a Pass… Can I Cancel and Rebook?
If you’re like me and purchased this pass last month then there MIGHT be some hope for you. Even though Ikon’s website clearly says that the Ikon Pass is non-refundable, there is a way that you may be able to switch out your credit card payment if it was made within the last 30 days. I bought my Ikon Pass on October 10th and I called them today (November 4, 2024) and they were able to refund my original payment and charge my Chase Sapphire Reserve instead. The best part is that they charged the exact same amount that I paid for back in October and not the new more expensive price that’s on the website today.
I called the number 1-888-365-4566 and then pushed the number “3” (something that had to do with payments). Definitely a shout out to the Ikon Customer Service Team! They were amazing and so patient in making sure that I got all my money back and that I was charge the same amount before and not a penny more. Hopefully, this saves a lot of you some money out there and I’ll see you on the mountain!
UPDATE 11/4/2024: My cousin was able to get her $3,500 (2 adults/2 kids) refunded from her original card and have it now be charged to her Chase Sapphire Reserve.
UPDATE: 11/5/2024: One person has notified me that some Ikon agents are refusing to switch out your credit cards. Hang up and call again. This same person now said they called hours later and Ikon was willing to refund the old payment but will charge you today’s Ikon price. Not ideal but you still save money regardless.
