You’ve made it to Atlantic City and now are ready to status match to Hard Rock Unity Icon! I’ll go step-by-step of the process we took and some of the hiccups that we got along the way. Overall, it was pretty painless and I was impressed on how knowledgeable the staff was about getting a status match.

Step 1: Go to a Caesars Property
If you don’t already have your Caesars Diamond player’s card like us, you’ll have to stop by a Caesars property first. Since we were staying at Borgata for free, the closest Caesars property to us was Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City. You can either drive if you have a car or it is a 15-minute walk to get to Harrah’s.
- By Car: If you are driving to Harrah’s, you can enter the self-parking garage with no issue. But if you don’t want to pay for parking on the way out, you want to make sure you obtain your Caesars Diamond card before you leave. Essentially, just make sure you make it to the rewards counter during the hours below or know for sure you’re able to get your player’s card from the self-printing kiosks or main cage.
- Walking: We actually walked the route below the following night to just check it out but I probably wouldn’t recommend it since it’s not the most pedestrian-friendly (there’s no sidewalk). But if you’re up for an adventure, it’s doable.
Step 2: Pick Up Your Caesars Diamond Players Card
Since we landed in Philadelphia in the early evening, we didn’t actually get to Atlantic City until 7:00 pm and didn’t get to Harrah’s until 8:00 pm. Also, it was a Wednesday so the Caesars Rewards counter ended up closing at 6:00 pm.
The sign mentioned that we could go to the Main Cage, but there were the reprint machines right next to the rewards counter so we decided to try those. Since we already had Caesars Rewards accounts, we were able to just print them from the machine using our driver’s license.
Now it’s time to take your new shiny Caesars Rewards Diamond Card and head on over to the Hard Rock Atlantic City. If you drove, you can just swipe out of the parking lot with your new card.

Step 1: Getting to Hard Rock Atlantic City
If you are going to head to Hard Rock from Harrah’s like we did, just keep in mind that it’s not walkable. Your choices of transportation are Uber/Lyft, the Jitney bus, the Caesars Rewards Shuttle or drive. The Caesars Reward Shuttle is free for Platinum, Diamond, and Seven Star Guests. Since it was a Wednesday though, the shuttle wasn’t running for us. I tried to find information also on how often they run but I kept getting conflicting information, but it sounds like they run once per hour, just don’t know what time. Since we had our rental car, we decided to just drive over to the Hard Rock.
Step 2: Parking At Hard Rock Atlantic City
When we first got to the Hard Rock, we wanted to just self-park since it would be easier. But then when we entered the garage, they wanted us to pay $10 upfront for parking. This is the first hotel that I’ve seen where they want you to upon entrance and not when you exit. So, we decided to make a u-turn and valet the car instead. We did that because we knew once we got our Hard Rock Unity Icon card, valet would be free and that’s something that you settle up at the end for.
Step 3: Go to the Hard Rock Unity Players Club Counter
The players counter is located on the 2nd level right off the escalators. I’ve also posted the hours below just in case you’re trying to plan out the best time for you to go. We’ve definitely come across wrong information from websites and even from calling customer service. So, at least you have proof below that these were the correct hours when we were there at the end of October.
Step 4: Status Match Your Caesars Diamond to Hard Rock Unity Icon
Below is a chart of the reciprocal status you get at the Hard Rock Unity with your Caesars Rewards Diamond Tier. I know it says “Diamond (Plus/Elite)” but regular Caesars Diamond does get Hard Rock Unity Icon Status as well.
Once you get to the counter, all you have to do is tell them that you are here for the status match. They will ask you for one of the casino players cards listed above and that’s where you’ll give them your Caesars Diamond players card. They’ll go over all the benefits and what you get with your new Hard Rock Unity Icon status. The counter was very knowledgeable and got my friend and I our status match within 5 or so minutes. It was super easy and had no issues.
