For the fifth installment of my luxury shopping guide, we’re going to visit the Balenciaga Hawaii Waikiki store on Luxury Row. This store is also located in the renovated International Market Place which houses a lot of other luxury shopping brands like Burberry and Christian Louboutin. It’s a two-story store with women’s leather goods on the first floor and sneakers, clothing, and men’s leather goods all on the second floor.

The discount for the Balenciaga Hawaii Waikiki store was a little confusing at first when the sales associate was trying to explain it to me. Apparently, there are two discounts that are going on at the same time. The regular “Hawaii Pricing” that you see in most other luxury stores and an additional “Hawaii Promotion” discount. The special Hawaii Pricing is already shown on the price tag. The Hawaii Promotion is an additional discount you get on certain items on top of the price tag. When we went at the end of February, the Hawaii Discount was on select leather goods and the Hawaii Promotion was 20% off sneakers and 10% off leather goods. So essentially, if you were to buy a leather good, you could possibly get both discounts!

SO WHAT IS THE PERCENTAGE OFF AT THE BALENCIAGA HAWAII THEN?

After doing a bit of math, it looks like the Hawaii Pricing ranges anywhere from $30 off to $300 off. It doesn’t look like there’s a set percentage to what the Hawaii Pricing would be like they have it at Gucci or Saint Laurent. The items that I think you will really save money on are the ones that are a part of the Hawaii Promotion. Having 20% off sneakers is pretty solid across the board and it even includes the new Speedy 3.0 sneakers. The best deal though looks like it would be on the leather goods since you would get the Hawaii Pricing and Hawaii Promotion discounts.

SERVICE AT BALENCIAGA HAWAII (WAIKIKI – LUXURY ROW)

While I was shopping, I had two associates help me. One for the men’s section on the second floor and another for the women’s section on the ground floor. I ended up not purchasing anything, but both sales associates were extremely helpful. Both were talkative and friendly and genuinely seemed like they wanted to chat like we were friends. Overall, if you are eyeing something from Balenciaga, I would definitely check this store out. It would be interesting to see if they change the Hawaii Promotion discount to other items like their clothing.
