Where to Eat: Wynn Buffet
I wasn't planning on eating at the Wynn Buffet for my birthday dinner, but I'm actually really glad that I did. About a month ago, I decided I was going to take a solo mini-trip to Las Vegas as a birthday present for myself. I had planned a relaxing day at the Wynn Spa and a nice steak dinner at SW Steakhouse. Well, my flight got delayed so I didn't get the amount of time
The Best Waikiki Happy Hours in 2022 (I’ve Personally Tested!)
Today, I get to talk about what I think the best Waikiki happy hours are of 2022! I've been to a lot of happy hours in Waikiki so I thought it would be useful if I compiled a list of what I think the best Waikiki happy hours are. I've personally been to every place listed below so you know that this information is real and not just copied from some random website. I hate
Where to Drink: Allē Lounge on 66
I wasn't expecting a lot from Allē Lounge on 66, but when I visited, I was really blown away! I've been to many Vegas lounges like the SkyBar at the Waldorf Astoria (previously Mandarin Oriental) and Vanderpump at Caesars Palace, but there's something about Allē Lounge that feels extra special. I remember when Resorts World Las Vegas first opened back in June 2021, the lounge used to be called Starlight on 66. I asked the
Where to Eat: Got’z Grindz
If you are a fan of spam musubi, you have to stop by Got'z Grindz during your trip to Oahu. I was looking for a place to grab a snack for our Pu'u Ma'eli'eli hike and I noticed that Got'z Grindz was only a 5-minute drive from the trailhead. They have a wide variety of spam musubis along with heartier selections like bento boxes and rice bowls. Everything is already laid out on the counter
Where to Eat: Kansai Yamato
For the third installment of my mochi train, I decided to go visit Kansai Yamato. For people that haven't been following along, I decided to go on a mochi crawl through Honolulu. I've never really thought about mochi in Hawaii before but it makes sense since they are heavily Japanese-influenced. What made me really want to go to Kansai Yamato though was this amazing strawberry cream-filled mochi (Yuki Ichigo) picture that I saw on Yelp.
Where to Eat: Boulon D’Amour
Everyone! I went to the cutest café in Los Angeles this past weekend called Boulon D'Amour. With Valentine's Day coming up, I thought this would be a great place to share with all of you if you are planning on doing something during the daytime this weekend or any weekend! From its beautiful pink flower wall to its floral-bomb phone booth, this place is every girl's dream! Outfit Details Some of you have been asking in my
Where to Eat: Fujiya Hawaii
Our next sweet eats stop is Fujiya Hawaii which is another Japanese confectionary store that specializes in mochi. I believe I mentioned in a previous blog post that I was on the hunt for mochi on our previous trip and this was the second place that we visited. I again found it on Yelp and saw that it had a lot of good reviews so I was excited to check it out. Related Post: Where
Where to Eat: Nisshodo Candy Store
I've never even heard of Nisshodo Candy Store until I started doing mochi research for this trip. Out of the hundreds of times I've been to Hawaii, I never once thought to look for mochi. It's always been shaved ice or malasadas, but it totally makes sense that mochi would be popular in Hawaii too since it's heavily Japanese influenced. I'm not a big sweets person by any means but I'm a fan of mochi
Where to Eat: Liliha Bakery
I must have seen Liliha Bakery on almost everyone's list of must-eat places for when you're in Honolulu. Apparently, they are very well known for their creme and coco puffs. I never really paid much attention to this place since I'm not a big sweets or pastries person. What I didn't know was that Liliha Bakery actually has a full diner attached to it. You can actually go, sit, and have an authentic Hawaiian meal
Actual Legit Free Wine Tastings in Oregon and Sonoma County
Nothing makes me happier than getting discounted or free wine tastings especially since a lot of wineries are now charging anywhere up to $30-$50 per tasting. I think this is absolutely crazy since I use to get tastings for only $10-$20. I feel like the wineries have figured out that people want the whole wine tasting experience so they know people are willing to pay a premium. I think it's kind of sad because it's
