I’ve been wanting to stay at the Crockfords Las Vegas since Resorts World opened back in the summer of last year. Resorts World is a mega hotel resort that is made up of three hotels: Hilton, Conrad, and Crockfords. I was lucky enough to stay at the Hilton during their opening night, but now I wanted to check out the other two hotels and see how they compare. For this trip, I only had time to visit one of the hotels so (since was my birthday week), I decided to opt for the luxurious Crockfords Las Vegas.

What is Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts?
Amex Fine Hotel and Resorts is a special hotel program that only Amex Platinum and Centurion (Invite-Only) cardholders can access. It’s essentially a collection of luxury hotels that Amex has negotiated to provide special benefits to their cardholders like guaranteed late check-out and special amenity credit. So, unless you have one of these two cards, I guess this blog post wouldn’t do you any good. But it might convince you to sign up for the Amex Platinum one day!
Crockfords Las Vegas Amex Deal
The Crockfords Las Vegas just recently joined Amex’s Fine Hotels and Resorts and it’s probably one of the best Vegas deals I’ve seen in a while. Not only do you get your usual Amex benefits, but they are offering more F&B credit than normal ($125 vs $100) and an extra 25% off the room rate!

Until September 22, 2022, Amex is offering an extra 25% off on the Conrad Las Vegas and the Crockfords Las Vegas. Originally, the sale was set to end on March 30th but I recently checked and now it looks like it’s going on until the end of summer! I think this is crazy since Resorts World is supposed to be Vegas’ latest and greatest hotel but for some reason, they are already heavily discounting their rooms. But hey, not going to complain! If anything, I definitely want to come back and stay here more often.

What Did I End Up Receiving?
- Daily Breakfast for Two: For your breakfast credit, you get $33/person (2 person max) at The Kitchen. I went on a Wednesday morning and the breakfast buffet cost $32. To be honest, the buffet was super basic. It’s the kind of buffet that you can find at a Courtyard Marriott or a Best Western if you know what I mean. If you have the time, I highly recommend ordering off the regular menu. I decided to order an avocado toast to go to take up to my room since I was unsatisfied with my buffet choice. Also, if you’re wondering, they do not do to-go orders from your room. The only way to get food to go is to go downstairs, sit and eat something, and then order something to go from your waiter.
- Room Upgrade: Since the Crockfords Las Vegas only has 236 rooms, getting a room upgrade is going to be pretty hard. I thought I had a good chance since I was staying on a Tuesday night and it was also my birthday, but no dice. Even though it would have been nice, I was only there for one night and the regular room was already huge enough for me.
- Noon Check-In: I didn’t make it there in time for the noon check-in. I believe I checked in around 3:00 p.m. and there was no one in line. I got my room right away, but then again, it was normal check-in time after all.
- 4:00 p.m. Check-Out: I had a semi-early flight the next day so I couldn’t utilize this benefit either! Although, the front desk did offer it to me when I checked in.
- Complimentary Wifi: They took $5 off the resort fee.
- Unique Amenity ($125 Food & Beverage Credit): I was really excited about this amenity credit. Not only did I get to spend $125 (usually only $100) on F&B, but I got to spend it all on myself! I was literally drooling at the thought of all the food I was going to eat. Unfortunately, I kind of messed up my appetite. I first went to Allē Lounge for a drink during sunset (highly recommend), but I ended up ordering lobster rolls which kind of filled me up. I spent about $50 there so I had $75 left to spend. In the end, I decided to go have sushi for dinner at Kusa Nori. It sounded light and refreshing, especially after my fatty snack. Kusi Nori was just okay, but to be fair, I really didn’t get to try their whole menu. If I get the chance to do this again, I would definitely spend all my $125 F&B at Wally’s.
- Welcome Amenity: I was excited about getting a complimentary glass of sparkling wine since it wasn’t advertised on the Amex website. Well, you can definitely skip this perk. The sparkling wine was overly sweet and they serve it to you in a plastic glass. Don’t waste your calories or your time on this. It would have been a nice gesture if they executed it properly.
Is It Worth Booking Through Amex?
Yes!!! If you have the Amex Platinum card, you are in luck! Since there is a 25% off promotion going on right now, the Crockfords Las Vegas rate is coming in cheaper than what you would find on the hotel’s own website.
Resorts World and Hilton Website Price: $224-$229
Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts Price: $171
Review of the Room
The room was nothing short of AMAZING! The first thing you will notice is the jaw-dropping view of the Vegas strip. The second thing you’ll notice is how high the ceilings are. It really made the room feel super luxurious and spacious. After staying at almost every Las Vegas casino, I can confidently say that the Crockfords Las Vegas has some of the tallest rooms (without being a suite) on the strip.
Obviously, the bathroom was beautifully designed with its white marble-like tile and Byerdo amenities (which happens to be one of my favorite brands). The mirror has a super bright halo light so you definitely don’t have to worry about doing your make-up in bad lighting.
One small fantastic thing I want to mention is the minibar fridge! On one side, you have your regular minibar beverages, but on the other side, there is a regular refrigerator. You can actually store your drinks or food in it. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve brought back expensive leftovers and then just had to throw them away because I couldn’t refrigerate them. So, a big thanks to the designer that chose that appliance!
Conclusion
I have never seen any hotel on Amex FHR be cheaper than the rate you find when booking directly with the hotel. Right off the bat, you are saving $53 by booking with Amex. Secondly, you get a $125 F&B credit which isn’t offered on the hotel’s regular website. Not to mention the potential $66 breakfast credit along with the early check-in and late check-out benefits. The F&B credits alone almost cover your whole stay! Overall, if you plan on going to Vegas and already have the Amex Platinum or Centurion card, I highly recommend staying at Crockfords.

Do you personally like the Conrad more than Crockfords? Don’t see much of a difference in pricing right now, seems like Crockfords looks better
Luxury Lowdown
I haven’t stayed at the Conrad yet, but I highly recommend Crockfords especially if the price is comparable to Conrad. Crockfords is also the more luxurious brand at Resorts World.
