This coffee shop was seriously the cutest! We were wandering around the souks and randomly came across this beautiful coffee shop.

The place is actually part of a huge restaurant that I believe gets pretty popular for sunset and dinner since there’s a second floor with a rooftop view. But I spoke to one of the employees and they said they built the coffee bar on the first floor to hope to get more day business.

The moment you walk in, you felt like you enter a secret magical place. The coffee bar definitely got my attention and I hope they end up doing well. I would ABSOLUTELY go there again.

Definitely recommend going there for a cup of coffee or a mid-day break. It’s also a really beautiful place. You won’t regret it!

Here’s a quick tour of our room that we got at the Four Seasons Marrakech. I was staying with a friend so we got the Two Twin Bed Room.

The room itself was super spacious and the beds were a DREAM! Now this is what I think a luxury hotel room should look like 👀

Did YOU know that Sahara actually meant “desert?

Did YOU know that Sahara actually meant “desert?” Yep! Just found that out myself. Sahara or ṣaḥrā is the Arabic word for desert.

How could we come all the way to Morocco and not visit the Sahara, right? It was such a beautiful place but it was TOO hot to bear during the day hours.

It took almost 9 hours to reach Erg Chebbi by car from Fez and then we had to take these camels to get to our campsite.

It was a super long day of traveling, but it was worth it to knock it off the bucket list! Would you consider going?

This was at the TOP of my list of things to do in

This was at the TOP of my list of things to do in Fez and it did not disappoint! This is Chouara Tannery and it’s the largest and oldest tannery in Fez.

The smell is so STRONG that the shop owners will give you mint to sniff so you don’t have to deal with the stench.

Fun fact: The smell is not from the dyes. The dyes are all natural. The smell is actually from pigeon poop! The poop contains ammonia that acts as a softening agent for the hides.

I actually ended up going twice. Once with a tour group which was in the mid-morning and another time in the evening when my friend arrived.

I got a different view both times so it was interesting to see. The time I went the tour group, it was so crowded and filled with other tours. The light was also really harsh so it wasn’t the greatest for pictures.

If you want to be able from the crowds and get some good pictures, I would go in the evening around 5:00-6:00 pm. That’s the time we went. You also probably won’t see people in the vats anymore but maybe that’s better?

If I were to do it again, I would try and see if I could go early in the morning before the tours or if not, I know around 6:00 pm is pretty good too.

These are my Top 5 things to do while visiting Fez

These are my Top 5 things to do while visiting Fez! This is also NOT A.I. and are my real personal experiences ❤️🇲🇦

1️⃣ Medina: You HAVE to visit this Medina! It’s a UNESCO World Heritage site and it is one of the most intricate medinas in all of Morocco. They say that Google Map still hasn’t been able to map out all the alleys yet. Also, cars and motorcycles aren’t allow which make it for a more pedestrian-friendly experience.

2️⃣ Tannery: This is an absolute must do in Fez! I went to Chouara Tannery since it was a part of my tour. Amazing to see all the colors from the dyes. Also, that horrible smell isn’t from the dye… It’s from pigeon poop!🐪

3️⃣ Rooftop Bar: Morocco is not know for a drinking culture but we did find some amazing rooftop bars and restaurants while we were in Fes. Highly recommend Riad Fes as it sits on the highest point of the Medina. Definitely go during sunset so you can watch the city light up as well. 🌅

4️⃣ Stay at a Riad: You can probably stay in a riad in any Moroccan city but I feel like Fez has some of the best ones with beautiful courtyards in the middle. We stayed at Palais Amani which is a part of Hyatt and still can’t get over how beautiful it was. 🏰

5️⃣ Blue Gate: If you’re walking around the medina already, might as well stop by the iconic Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud). It’s a great photo spot but if it’s seriously out of your way, it’s something you can probably skip. 📸

Just checked in to the beautiful Palais Amani hotel and what a dream this place is. The center courtyard is the most serene garden I’ve ever been in and it’s literally right outside our room. The birds you hear chirping are the actual sounds of the hotel (not part of the music).

Palais Amani is part of Mr. and Mrs. Smith hotels which is now a part of the World of Hyatt program. We could have booked this room on points but the cash rate was a better deal than redeeming on points.

Nothing could have prepared me for how beautiful the courtyard was though! I mean I practically felt like Snow White lol.

My jaw literally DROPPED when I walked out to the rooftop! I wanted to come here and grab a drink during sunset but I couldn’t believe what a view this was!

This rooftop bar is said to be the highest point in the medina of Fez and I believe it! It was a pretty decent hike up getting to this hotel. We even got lost while we were in the hotel too hahaha.

I was recording myself of us trying to find the rooftop and when we did, I caught my genuine reaction to the view. This is not fake and it was not planned.

The view was really breathtaking and I wish I had been time-lapsing the whole thing but I forgot because I was just enjoying the moment so much.

If you get a chance, I highly recommend coming up here for a drink during sunset!

Such peace and quiet! 💕 I wasn’t expecting mu

Such peace and quiet! 💕 I wasn’t expecting much from this city but man did it blow my mind. It’s not like the rest of Morocco and I feel like has more European influence seeing that Spain is literally across the way.

I was most impressed by how clean the Kasbah/Old Medina was! On top of how all the buildings were white made it seem like I was almost in Greece somehow.

Definitely recommend you make a stop here and DEFINITELY stay in the kasbah. Don’t stay by the train station. There’s nothing really there except congested city life.

My Airbnb was located in the kasbah and I got to wake up every day to quiet streets like these. I was so nice to just walk out your door and have the whole place to yourself 💕

These are my Top 5 Things to do in Tangier (except the last one)! I know a lot of other blogs or website says to go to the beach or caves but I didn’t think it was worth the trek.

The first 4 things are all within the Old Media and can be done in one day if you choose. The 5th thing you will need to take long bus or taxi to.

📍 Walk Around the Old Medina/Kasbah (#1)
-This was by far my favorite thing to do during the day or night. All the buildings were so beautiful and everything was so clean.
Pro Tip: if you want to take pictures without people, come early in the morning around 8:00 or 9:00 am. Tangier is a late city and people don’t start moving until around 10:00 am. I literally had the whole Kasbah to myself.

📍 Salon Bleu’s Rooftop (#2)
-If you want a place to rest to soak in the views and some vitamin D, I highly suggest going to Salon Bleu. With that being said, the food was only so-so. I would only get the orange gelato and a cold drink to wash it down with.

📍American Legation Museum
-I’m not a big fan of museums but I found this one quite interesting since it has to do with the U.S. If you’re not a museum person either, the courtyard is at least good enough for some cute pictures

📍 Kasbah Museum
-This is a pretty small museum and won’t take up much of your time. It’s an old restored building with a lush green courtyard. If you’re on a time crunch though, you can probably skip it.

📍 Chefchaouen (#5)
-This place is technically not in Tangier and is actually a 2.5-3 bus ride away but absolutely worth a visit. I did a day trip out there ($5 each way) and only probably needed a couple hours. I also like how Chefchaouen is named the “Blue City” and Tangier is named the “White City.” It’s fun to see the contrast.
