Today, I get to talk about what I think the best Waikiki happy hours are of 2022! I’ve been to a lot of happy hours in Waikiki so I thought it would be useful if I compiled a list of what I think the best Waikiki happy hours are. I’ve personally been to every place listed below so you know that this information is real and not just copied from some random website. I hate it when I’m researching places to eat and the lists I find are so obviously outdated. It’s crazy that some people re-post the same content and the places listed have already gone out of business!
There’s no particular order to the list. I’ve tried to pick a wide range of Waikiki happy hours. Anything from dive bars to fancy restaurants. Also, be aware that hours can always change so always make sure to call and double-check before you go. Hopefully, this list is helpful for all of you that plan on visiting Oahu soon!

Best Waikiki Happy Hours
Hideout at the Laylow
You might have seen this place listed under my blog post about the top restaurants that I would eat in Honolulu again. Even though the happy hour is very short, it’s still one of my favorite places to go because of the atmosphere and live music. Definitely try the pork belly while you’re there!

Sky Waikiki
This one is another short happy hour but probably has the best view of all Waikiki. Even though you can’t really see the beach, you’ll at least get an incredible view of Diamond Head. Prices for happy hour aren’t that amazing but you really come here for the view.
- Happy Hour: Daily 4:00 pm-5:00 pm
- Happy Hour Menu: $2 Oysters, $4 Beers, $8-9 Wines, $9-$12 Cocktails, $6-$10 Appetizers

Tommy Bahamas Waikiki
I like Tommy Bahamas mostly because of the outdoor patio and sandpit if you’re lucky enough to snag a seat there. The prices are on the higher end of what I like to spend, but it’s a great place to rest and relax since their happy hour runs for three hours. This is nice since you don’t feel rushed to order another round.

Deck Waikiki
If you want to have a lively atmosphere and an unobstructed view of Diamond Head, make sure you head on over to Deck Waikiki (located inside the Queen Kapiolani Hotel). Their happy hour menu doesn’t show wine but they do have it on the happy hour if you ask. I also love that their happy hour is three hours long, but again, this is another place where prices are probably more on the expensive side but you really can’t beat the view.

Basalt Waikiki
These prices are what I’m talking about! Give me $5 wines all day, please! Basalt probably has the best happy hour prices I’ve seen in Waikiki for wines, craft beers, and well drinks. You don’t get any views here but at least the restaurant itself is clean and the bartenders are friendly.

Shorefyre (International Market Place)
This would probably be for my dive bar friends if you are looking for a chill place that also has some live music. Super low key and the prices aren’t too bad here either. We landed in Oahu on a Monday and decided to head right on over to Shorefyre at the International Market Place (be careful, there are two) for their All Day Monday Happy Hour (at the International Market Place location only).

Herringbone
This is definitely a place you come to if you want something a little more upscale and classy. The happy hour food prices are on the higher side compared to the happy hour drink prices, but I guess that’s to be expected from a fancy restaurant. We ended up only getting drinks since we had dinner plans, but I would definitely come back and sit on their patio again.

Eating House 1849
This place probably has the best food options out of all the Waikiki happy hours I’ve been to. This is to be expected since Eating House 1849 is by Chef Roy Yamaguchi (of Roy’s Restaurants). All of the happy hour food is priced reasonably at $7 and is great for sharing so make sure you order a variety.
