I have finally made it to the Christian Dior Outlet, everyone! While I was on a work trip out in New York last week, I decided to spend an extra day visiting Woodbury Commons which is a premium outlet mall much like the Desert Hills Premium Outlets that I always talk about. I’ve heard for years that there is a Christian Dior Outlet in New York and it happens to be the only one in the United States. To be honest, I thought I would never have the chance to go because, first, I’m never in New York, and second, the outlets are a bit of a trek from the city or any airport for that matter.

 

Christian Dior Outlet Information

Always check the website for operating hours. I know it differs from weekdays vs. weekends and there are special operating hours during the holidays. I went on a Sunday and it opened at 10:00 am.

How to Get to Woodbury Commons

There are two ways that I know of to get to Woodbury Commons if you are coming from out of town: 1) rent a car or 2) take the bus. My situation was a little bit weird, but essentially I opted to rent a car. Since I was spending an extra day on my own dime, I couldn’t afford to stay in Manhattan. So, I decided to go to Newark Airport (EWR) and rent a car from there since that was the airport I was planning on flying out of. 

I drove about 30 minutes to stay at a Hyatt Place out in Paramus (New Jersey) on booked it on points (8,000). I picked this hotel because I’m obviously a Hyatt person and the hotel’s location was only 35 minutes away from the outlets. Since I’d never been to Woodbury Commons, I didn’t know how busy it was going to get so I wanted to make sure I was as close as possible so I can get there right when it opened the next day. In the end, it cost me $58 (Avis Rental Car) + $20 (Gas) + 8,000 Hyatt Points. 

The second option is if you are staying in the city of Manhattan, you can take the Woodbury Bus. During my research, I came across this website where they offer a bus service from Midtown Manhattan to Woodbury Commons for $42 roundtrip. It looks like they offer it every day with multiple departures and return times. If I was staying in Manhattan, I probably would have done this route, but since I had a friend with me (along with not being able to afford Manhattan), the car rental was a better choice.

 

What Time Should You Get to the Christian Dior Outlet?

We went on a Sunday and got there right when it opened at 10:00 a.m. There was absolutely no line. I was SHOCKED! I would have thought that Dior would have had a massive line, but there was no one in sight. I also passed by it a couple more times during the day and I only saw at most, 2-3 groups in line at any given time. So, what I’m saying is that you don’t have to get there early like you have to for the Gucci Outlet in Cabazon.

 

How Was The Inventory and Store Overall?

The store was actually bigger than I thought it was going to be although the inventory was pretty limited. I can see why there’s only one Christian Dior Outlet in the whole United States now. There’s probably not enough inventory left over to really open up another outlet anywhere else. You will NOT find any of the popular bags (Book Totes, Lady Dior, D-Lite, etc.) here. You will find a decent amount of shoes and a bigger selection of clothing. There are some jewelry and accessories but not much.

I would say if you are in the market for Dior clothes, then it would definitely be worth it for you to go a take a look. If you are only looking for bags though, I don’t it would be worth your time to go. Also, when I spoke to the sales associate, she let me know that their inventory is one year behind and are only pieces that are leftover from their retail stores that didn’t sell. They also don’t know when they get deliveries in so it’s really hard to calculate a good time to go. She did mention that the Cruise 2022 should be coming in soon though!

 

Customer Service at the Christian Dior Outlet

The customer service at the Christian Dior Outlet was great! First, they actually pick up the phone when you call. So, if you have any questions, feel free to give them a ring at (845) 928-4602. Second, since the store wasn’t busy, they let you roam around the store for as long as you want without feeling like you have to rush because there’s a long wait outside. One sales associate was very helpful in answering all my questions and I really appreciated that since I know some other sales associates would be annoyed. You will definitely get 5-star service here!

The shipping fee is $15 for ground shipping. Also, if you are going to ship to your state, you will pay your own state tax and not New York’s 4% state sales tax.
