Wynn Buffet Las Vegas

I wasn’t planning on eating at the Wynn Buffet for my birthday dinner, but I’m actually really glad that I did. About a month ago, I decided I was going to take a solo mini-trip to Las Vegas as a birthday present for myself. I had planned a relaxing day at the Wynn Spa and a nice steak dinner at SW Steakhouse. Well, my flight got delayed so I didn’t get the amount of time I wanted at the spa and a steak dinner by myself seemed less and less appealing as the night went on.

So, I decided to change dinner plans and headed for the buffet instead. Mind you, I’m not a buffet person at all. I’m usually more of a quality-instead-of-quantity type of person. But at that moment, I felt like I would be more comfortable going to a buffet than sitting at a bar at a steakhouse by myself. To be clear, I have no problem sitting and eating by myself at a fancy restaurant, but for some reason that night, I just wanted to chill, relax, and stuff my face without judgment!

When is the Wynn Buffet Open?

The Wynn Buffet is currently closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays and has select hours depending on breakfast, brunch, or dinner. Please always double-check the website as hours are subject to change.

How Much is the Wynn Buffet?

The pricing depends on what day and which meal you choose. I went on a Monday night for dinner so it cost me $64.99 + tax/tip. If you go on a weekend night, it’ll cost you $69.99 + tax/tip.

What is the Difference Between Wynn Buffet’s Regular vs. Gourmet?

You might have noticed that there’s a “gourmet” brunch and “gourmet” dinner listed. I looked all over the internet to see what the difference was and I couldn’t find the answer anywhere. So, when I finally got to the buffet, I asked the hostess what the difference was and she said the only difference was that there were better cuts of meat during the gourmet meals. She didn’t say exactly what meats were different, but to be honest, I thought my regular dinner buffet’s meats were fantastic already.

How Long is the Line?

So there are different ways to have a successful and timely trip to the Wynn Buffet so I would pay attention very closely to this part.

  1. Just Show Up and Wait In Line: When I showed up on a Monday night, the hostess told me that the wait was over an hour. I can’t even imagine how long it would be on a weekend night! The hostess also told me that if I didn’t want to wait, I could pay $45 to skip the line. Ummmmm… no thank you.
  2. Wynn Reward Status: If you have Platinum or Black status with Wynn Rewards, you are able to skip the line immediately. Luckily, I have Platinum status (through a status match) so I got to just go straight through.

  3. Pre-Paid Priority Seating: This is what I recommend most people do. If you know you want to eat at the Wynn Buffet, I highly recommend you book a pre-paid priority seat online. This is NOT a reservation, but more of a way to guarantee your place in line. On Wynn’s website, it states that you will be seated within 30 minutes of your priority time. If you chose to go this route, you are at least guaranteed to eat around the time that you want.

Overall Review

I am surprised at how much I enjoyed this buffet. I think I liked it because the food was really good! Unlike the subpar experience I had at the Bellagio Buffet, this buffet actually had quality food that I wanted to eat and everything was delicious. I feel like a lot of buffets nowadays try to put out too many items and end up shooting themselves in the foot. For the Wynn Buffet though, I thought they did an excellent job with their food choices. They even have cold AND hot crab legs for goodness sakes! If you are looking for a great Vegas buffet, I highly recommend this one. You won’t be disappointed!
