Casino Status Match Run (Part 2): Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card
The most important step of the casino status match run is to sign up for the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business credit card that’s issued by Barclays US. This is because the credit card automatically gives you Wyndham Diamond status which you’ll use to status match to other programs. This was interesting for me since I’ve never opened an account with Barclays before and I heard it could be a hassle especially if this is your first time. I did run into a slight issue during my sign-up but luckily it was resolved pretty quickly. This step is the most crucial step so better follow along closely.

Sign Up for Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Credit Card
You are probably wondering why I need to sign up for the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business credit card and it’s because it’s the easiest way to get Wyndham Diamond status without having to stay at Wyndham properties. The benefits of Wyndham Diamond aren’t that lucrative, but the reason we are doing this is because Wyndham has a partnership with Caesars Entertainment where you can status match Wyndham Diamond to Caesars Diamond which is where the casino status match really begins. If you would like to learn more, definitely go visit MilesTalk which is the OG blog that started this travel hack.
Step 1: Sign up for the Wyndham Rewards Program
First and foremost, you need to sign up for the Wyndham Rewards program (free) because you’ll need a Wyndham Rewards number for when you sign up for the credit card. This is because once you sign up for the credit card, they will grant you Wyndham Diamond status so they’ll need an associated account number.
Step 2: Sign Up for the Credit Card
You can find the signup page for the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business credit card here. Unfortunately, they don’t have any referral program or an affiliate link so it’s just a plain old regular sign-up link. You’ll fill out the form just like you would any other credit card application.
Step 3: Receive Wyndham Diamond Status
Once you’re approved for your new Wyndham Rewards Earner Business credit card, you’re Wyndham account should be updated with your new Wyndham Diamond status almost immediately. If not, give it a day or two but it was pretty fast for me.

Wyndham Rewards Earner Business credit card is the easiest way for you to get automatic Wyndham Diamond status which you’ll eventually want to match with other casinos, specifically Caesars Entertainment. Caesars has a partnership with Wyndham where they will status match Wyndham Diamond to Caesars Diamond. Years ago, there were other ways to status match to Caesars (R.I.P. Hyatt Globalist>MGM Gold>Caesars Diamond), but now, this looks like it’s the only way without gambling. Update 11/12/24: Major update down below!
Do You Need to Have Your Own Business to Sign Up for a Business Credit Card?
No, you don’t need to have a huge fancy business to sign up for the credit card. You can absolutely be a single person having their own side hustle (i.e. blogger, photographer, etc.) and just apply under a sole proprietorship.

The annual fee is $95/year. Even though there’s an annual fee, the benefits that you will eventually get from all the status matching will outweigh the fee tenfold.
Is There A Signup Bonus?
The signup bonus changes once in a while. Currently, you can earn 40,000 bonus points after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 90 days and earn 40,000 bonus points after spending $15,000 on purchases within the first 365 days. So, techincally 80,000 points within a year. But when I signed up for it two months ago, it was 45,000 points if you spend at least $3,000 in purchases within the first 90 days.

My friend and I both signed up for it at the same time and we had two slightly different experiences. Below are the results of what we were approved for.
Credit Line | Approval | Previously Had a Barclay Card | |
Myself | $10,000 | Mine went under review but was approved the next day | No |
My Friend | $11,000 | Hers was approved immediately | Yes |

UPDATE 11/12/2024
It looks like Wyndham and Caesars is catching on to this travel hack and have just released a statement saying that you will no longer be able to status match to Caesars from the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business credit card. If you are going to do this casino status match run, better do it now and get this credit card no later than January 2025 since the status match between the two does take at least a couple of weeks.
